My Testimony

Dear friend,

I am writing to express the joy I feel for you at the expectancy of your child. I would also like to share with you my testimony (which has grown out of His guidance through six pregnancies and births.)

I can testify to you that Heavenly Father and His Son, Jesus Christ, desire for each of us to be faithful in overcoming all of our trials in this life and that includes the trials of pregnancy and birth.

I believe that the pregnancy and birth experiences were designed to be a unique means for increasing faith in Heavenly Father, His Son, the Holy Spirit, and the gospel. Which is, in large part, why marriage and parenthood were the first commandments given to mankind.

Our Savior has provided us with all the information we need to have a faith increasing and blessed pregnancy and birth - the source is the scriptures.

I hope that you will read the story of Christ's birth, recall the Nativity scene, and ponder the example that Jesus gave us through His birth. Study the scriptures and you will find many analogies related to marriage, childbirth, and parenting.

I admonish you to do so with your husband, seeking the promises contained therein, that you may know HIs will, receive His guidance and fullness of blessings.

I ahve a testimony that Christ is the Savior of the world, and if we have a desire for truth in our hearts, He will lead us to it. He wants to guide us, He wants to be at the center of our relationships, our pregnancy and birth expereinces, our parenting, and our lives. All we have to do is invite Him there.

We invite Christ to the center of our birth, and place ourselves in a position to be blessed through repentance, obedience to His commands, scripture study, prayer, fellowshipping, and seeking godly advice.

God does answer prayer. He also guides, protects and delivers us in spiritual and physical ways. When we trust Him to do so our faith increases and we mature in the gospel.

He loves you and is waiting for you with open arms.

In Jesus name,
Amen.
